There may be many museums and galleries in New York, but they’re far from the only places to see art in the city. Over the next two weekends, several pockets of our local arts community will host open studios across the boroughs to share their creative energies with other artists and appreciators. While some of these upcoming events aren’t part of larger-scale efforts, like Gowanus Open Studios and Sunset Park Wide Open taking place in the fall, they certainly usher in a wave of much-needed creative collaboration as the summer vibes increase. day after day.
Below are four open studio events where you can find inspiration, meet artists, and even create your own work.
