THE San Francisco Art Book Fair (SFABF) is an annual multi-day exhibition and celebration of printed material from independent publishers, artists, designers, collectors and enthusiasts from around the world.

Launched in 2016 as part of a collaboration between Colpa Press, Minnesota Street ProjectAnd Park life, the popularity of the fair has continued to grow. In 2022, SFABF welcomed more than 60,000 visitors from the Bay Area and beyond. The fair continues to expand its horizons, offering more in-depth art publishing-related programming at three different on-site locations, new exhibitors, and exciting fundraising editions from Bay Area artists. This year, we are happy to announce that the SFABF is presented by the Minnesota Street Project Foundation.

Adding to the excitement of the fair, we’ve included the Minnesota Street Project Foundation’s new exhibit space at 1201 Minnesota Street. In addition to the 80 exhibitors at 1275 Minnesota Street, the new site will host 75 publishers from around the world whose practices are dedicated to accessible and inventive forms of bookmaking and publishing. THE complete list of exhibitors is available on the show website.

The SFABF places the Bay Area’s unique history and perspectives in conversation with national and international publishing communities. The fair features artists’ books, art catalogs, monographs, periodicals, zines, printed ephemera and artist multiples. These objects are presented by more than 160 publishers, antique dealers, artists and galleries in the Bay Area and around the world.

The San Francisco Art Book Fair takes place July 14-16, with a preview on the evening of Thursday, July 13, from 6-10 p.m. PT. The fair is free and open to the public.
