Sudan’s museums warn of damage to heritage sites – Museum professionals and artists are sounding the alarm as violence continues to rage in Sudan that institutions, especially those concentrated in the capital Khartoum, are at risk. The International Council of Museums published a report by the director of the Sudan Museum of Natural History, Sara Abdalla Khidir Saeed, who said that “museums are now without guards to protect them from looting and vandalism”.
