The Meatpacking District pop-up, which opened earlier this month and will run until July 16, celebrates 75eanniversary of the iconic Serpenti collection from the snake-inspired jewelry brand. Anadol, which currently has a successful Installing the MoMA starring and recently unveiled its AI-generated show Gaudi’s Dreams in Barcelona, ​​was the perfect artist to tap into for the project.

Its ever-changing datascapes can be likened to Bulgari’s ever-changing Serpenti pattern. But while Anadol’s work is AI-based, relying on 120,000 images of snakes to “train” the algorithm to compose its work, Bulgari still manufactures and assembles each of its pieces by hand.

Anadol’s multi-sensory sculpture, simply titled Serpenti, is a study in psychedelia, nature and technology. It originally premiered in 2021 and previously displayed in Milan, London and Madrid.

In the pop-up show in New York, Anadol’s art is accompanied by “Bulgari Serpenti 75 Years of Infinite Tales”, a mini-exhibit that highlights 25 remarkable pieces from the collection’s scintillating history, as well as than seven new high jewelry pieces created especially for the anniversary.

“Bulgari Serpenti 75 years of endless tales is on display until July 16 at 70, rue Gansevoort.
