Jammie Holmes burst onto the scene about two years ago as one of the most promising self-taught painters of his generation, and hasn’t looked back since. After mounting exhibitions at Various Small Fires and Marianne Boesky, her star continued to soar in the run-up to her first-ever museum retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in Fort Worth titled “Jammie Holmes: Make the Revolution Irresistiblewhich opens in August. Let’s look back on a week of his life…

After years of supporting and living by the Paper Planes motto, “Greatness is a Process”, I had the chance to visit Paper Planes/ROCNATION Headquarters.

After a month of virtual dating with Ronnie, Megan and Just C, I met them in person.

Enjoying the Paper Planes / ROCNATION rooftop. NYC is one hell of a city!

I absolutely had to take this photo for my city. When I travel, I think of the people back home whom I represent. Greatness is a process! The slogan by which I live.

Paper Planes/ROCNATION’s art collection is amazing. It is one of many works of art here. Nick Cave is amazing.

While still in New York, I met my close friend Beverly Fishman who had an amazing show at the Miles Gallery.

Beverly is a superstar. It was amazing to see her being embraced by so many people. Well deserved for all the time and hard work she put into creating and making art history.

Kim and I are enjoying the Michaela Yearwood exhibit at the Marianne Boesky Gallery.

Spent the day browsing museums and found an amazing exhibit at the Met. Lauren Halsey on the roof was a sight to behold.

Back home to my favorite things in life besides my kids. Music, art and cars.

Head to my studio. Most people have stuffed dice hanging in their Impala, I have a paper airplane.

Studio life, big pick-up! This painting will be at my first solo exhibition at the Modern Art Museum Of Fort Worth. The paint was loaded into the truck and then into the crate located inside the truck.

I will miss these paintings. They lived in my studio for almost a year. But I will see them again in August!

Using this film camera for these photos really makes this 10x Vietnam soldiers painting special for some reason.

Me and Tyson are monitoring the situation.

When it’s all over, Tyson takes his daily “coast is clear” walk.
