On May 6, join the festivities for the second edition Smack Mellon Gravity Racers – Benefit Party and Art Auction! Come watch the races, bet on the cars and walk away with unique artwork, all in support of Smack Mellon.

Tickets start at $400. One ticket admits two party guests and guarantees an original piece of art, won by wagering on races between artist-made pinewood derby cars. Packages offer discounts on multiple tickets. For an additional $25, build your own derby-style car to race among radically custom cars made by artists.

Funds raised during the evening will support Smack MellonSmack Mellon’s mission is to serve a diverse group of emerging, under-recognized, mid-career and female artists through free exhibitions, artist studio program and artist mentorship program for students from Smack Mellon high school.

Preview available artwork and purchase tickets at smackmellon.org.

The silent auctions open online on April 22 and close on May 6 at 6:30 p.m.
