Commenting on the upcoming edition, Dallas Art Fair Director Kelly Cornell said, “This year, the Dallas Art Fair has expanded to include a record number of international galleries. We’re also highlighting public art installations this year, with works by Rachel Hayes in Klyde Warren Park and works by Josh Callaghan and Carolyn Salas in the Art Park. All of this serves our mission to introduce both the international art world and the people of Dallas to the art of our city, as well as to welcome the booming art market in Dallas!

Trade show visitors should also be sure to visit “Talk of the Town: A Pop-Up Exhibit from the Dallas Museum of Artwhich is on view at Dallas’ NorthPark Center through April 30, 2023. Presented by the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), the Dallas Art Fair and the NorthPark Center, “Talk of the Town” is an original group exhibition that explores the diverse and multifaceted idea of femininity through an artistic lens, but with a scope far exceeding that of traditional portraiture.

Curated by the DMA’s Senior Curator of Contemporary Art for the Hoffman Family, Dr. Anna Katherine Brodbeck, the exhibit includes works acquired by the DMA through the Dallas Art Fair Foundation Acquisition Program; the program, established in 2016, aims to strengthen Dallas’ local art community by providing funds to the DMA to acquire contemporary works directly from the fair. “We were delighted with the acquisition of these works by the DMA, which helped to elevate these emerging artists. Now, we’re thrilled that “Talk of the Town” is boosting the visibility of their work. NorthPark Center is the perfect venue for this exhibit, due to its unparalleled art collection and public accessibility,” said Cornell.
