This month, July 16-19, French auction house Artcurial will present a series of sales that make up their Monaco Auction Week. From fine watchmaking to important design, the curated sales will showcase top-notch lots from a wide range of Artcurial departments. Within the prestigious Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, ahead of Monaco Auction Week, a selection of public exhibitions will take place at the Hôtel Hermitage as well as in Monaco and Paris.

Kicking off the week is the dazzling Fine jewelry sale, featuring hundreds of unique and expertly crafted pieces. With houses such as Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels and Tiffany and Co. represented, there is an extreme diversity of styles and types included. Rivaling the glamor of the Haute Joaillerie sale, Time is Feminine offers lots like a gold watch Cartier skeleton watch tied with a gold chain. Long at the top of the leather goods market and a symbol of excellence and exclusivity, the Hermés Birkin and Kelly bags have recently undergone a new revival and stand at the pinnacle of the luxury leather bag collection – and Artcurial has held auctions dedicated to the brand for two decades. Alongside classic handbag silhouettes, like the Chanel quilted flap bag, and contemporary newcomers like a limited-edition Louis Vuitton Summit Drive bag, Hermés still reigns supreme in the Hermés and luxury bags sale July 18. For true connoisseurs and art lovers, the 4th edition of the Monegasque sculptures the sale will begin on July 18. With works by leading artists such as Arman, Antoine Poncet and Wang Keping, the selection of works, as a whole, deserves an exhibition and will be presented as such in several gardens and palaces in the principality. . The sale includes a pair of emblematic works by François-Xavier Lalanne, a Ram And Sheepboth from 1997. Monaco Auction Week by Artcurial is completed by the Sul Mare Design sale which will be held on July 19 and will present a Monegasque private collection of more than 90 pieces. With examples of mid-century seating by Ico Parisi and light fixtures designed by Gino Sarfatti, the sale features key works of Italian modern design.
