Gather Round: Celebrating street dance and 50 years of hip-hop

Works & Process, the performing arts arm of the Guggenheim, presents its four-part dance and music series — originally commissioned for the museum’s famed rotunda — at Manhattan’s West Plaza performance circle on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. (ET) in July. Featuring The Missing Element, LayeRhythm, Ladies of Hip-Hop, Ephrat Asherie Dance and more, the final night of the series includes a full-fledged dance party with legendary DJ Bravo LaFortune and other club legends.

If you’re in Midtown at noon, liven up your lunch hour from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET with weekly performances featuring talented musicians from around the world. Performers include Palestinian-born kanun player Firas Zreik, Colombian singer-songwriter and accomplished accordionist Diana Burco, Venezuelan bandola player llanera Mafer Bandola, and others.
