1 What inspired you to become an artist, and how has your journey evolved since you started?

A Journey of Innate Creativity: From Childhood to Acclaimed Artist

From a small child, the passion for drawing flowed through my veins like an unstoppable river. Even at the tender age of 5 or 6, I was found in my backyard, immersed in the world of colors, drawing with crayons, and embracing the joy of creation. It seemed that being an artist was not a choice but a calling, an innate gift that had chosen me.

From Kuwait to Lebanon, the south of France to the vibrant heart of New York City, life led me through a tapestry of experiences that shaped my artistic evolution. Each place, each moment, etched an indelible mark on my soul, enriching my creative language and nurturing the visions I sought to share with the world.

2 Can you tell us about your artistic influences and how they have shaped your creative expression

Among the luminaries that have left an indelible mark on my artistic expression are some of the greatest artists to have graced the canvas – Picasso, Rembrandt, Soutine, Modigliani, and countless others. Their masterpieces have whispered to my heart, guiding my artistic journey towards new horizons. Studying the lives of these artistic giants has been a source of fascination. The stories of their triumphs and struggles resonate deeply within me, reminding me that art is not just about technique but a reflection of one’s essence. Their relentless pursuit of expression, their boldness in breaking conventions, and their unwavering passion for their craft serve as guiding stars in my own artistic voyage.

3 Many artists have a specific message or theme they want to convey through their art. What emotions or ideas do you aim to evoke in your audience with your work?

In my art, I aspire to evoke a profound sense of connection and emotion in my audience. My ultimate message is to give back a part of myself to the world, leaving an indelible impression on those who encounter my work.

Ultimately, I aim to leave an impression, not only through the aesthetics of my art but also through the emotional resonance it carries. It is my belief that art has the power to touch lives, spark conversations, and create lasting memories, and I am honored to contribute to this beautiful tapestry of human expression.

4 The creative process can be both rewarding and challenging. Could you describe your approach to creating art and how you overcome any creative blocks?

Creating art is a journey of both fulfillment and challenges. My approach to the creative process is rooted in passion and curiosity, allowing me to explore uncharted territories of expression. It starts with immersing myself in inspiration, whether through nature, culture, or the works of other artists. Observing the world around me fuels my imagination, igniting the spark of creativity.

When faced with creative blocks, I embrace them as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles. I find solace in stepping away from the canvas and engaging in activities that nurture my soul – reading, listening to music, or simply taking a walk in nature. This allows me to reset and gain new perspectives.

5 Many artists find inspiration from their surroundings and experiences. Can you share a significant moment or event in your life that profoundly influenced your artistic journey and the kind of art you create?

Living in the Middle East, the South of France and visiting Monet’s gardens profoundly influenced my artistic journey. The vibrant cultures and colors of the region enriched my work, while the enchanting beauty of Monet’s landscapes inspired my exploration of light and nature in my art. These experiences left lasting imprints, shaping the themes, colors, and emotions in my creations. Each moment of inspiration weaves a narrative of growth and connection, allowing my art to speak a language of its own, resonating with viewers on a deeper level.
