This week: the first-ever museum exhibition of Keith Haring’s work in Los Angeles. We chat with Sarah Loyer, the curator of Keith Haring: Art is for everyone at the Broad in Los Angeles.
Alex Farquharson, the director of Tate Britain in London, directed the complete reorganization of the museum collection, including a greatly expanded presence of women and artists of color across 500 years of British art. He tells us about the project.
And the work of the week for this episode is The bedroom part 1 (1975) by the late San Francisco-born painter Joan Brown. The painting is part of the traveling survey opening this week at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, and Liz Park, the Pittsburgh exhibit’s curator, tells us more about it.
